The World Welcomes the Establishment of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal).

The Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) has received an international recognition reflecting the world leaders and their nations' aspirations towards the Center's contribution to make the world free of extremism. The center was inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and the President of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump, along with leaders from the Islamic world who gathered in Riyadh for the Islamic American Summit. Promoting the spirit of moderation, Etidal is the first of its kind and is following best international practices in the organizational management. The center aims to promote the culture of moderation by monitoring, analyzing and anticipating extremist ideology, addressing it, confronting it and preventing it, and to cooperate with governments and relevant organizations, which was expressed by US President Donald Trump,"The Global Center for Combating Extremism and its Financing is a major step in the fight against terrorism.” A number of world leaders and influential personalities, as well as international media, welcomed the inauguration of Etidal Center, which seeks to be a main reference in the fight against extremist ideology. In this regard, Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed said "The establishment of the Global Center for Combat Extremist Ideology (Etidal), which was one of the outcomes of the Arabic, Islamic and American Summit, a huge step from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to counter radical ideology with an alternative one, and also to pursue this thought in exposing it to the people and making it clear that it is far from human ideology”. The Center is managed by 21 state members and organizations who share the center vision and goals.
