The Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) and Telegram continue their joint efforts to counter extremist propaganda across the digital space. During the first half of 2026, from January through June, their collaboration led to the removal of 34,290,268 pieces of extremist content and the closure of 1,275 channels used to disseminate and promote such content.
As a result, the total number of pieces of extremist content removed since the collaboration began in February 2022 reached 292,597,845 as of 30 June 2026, while the total number of channels closed over the same period reached 20,362.
This ongoing cooperation reflects the effectiveness of the joint efforts between Etidal and Telegram in limiting the spread of extremist propaganda and contributing to a safer digital environment.
