RIYADH- ETIDAL April 22, 2018 The Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) welcomed today a delegation led by the French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Francois Gouyette. Etidal Secretary-General Dr. Nassar Al-Buqumi briefed Ambassador Gouyette on the Center’s strategic mission to combat extremism and promote understanding and tolerance. The Secretary-General and his expert staff discussed Etidal’s tactical approach to monitoring, analyzing and confronting online extremist content. As part of the Center’s mission, Etidal has hosted numerous international visitors in an effort to create greater cooperation between governmental, citizen, educational and research institutions committed to battling the global extremism. The French Ambassador expressed his support for the Center’s work and the need for global cooperation to better combat dangerous extremism.
