His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal), Dr. Mansour Al-Shammari, welcomed a delegation of the Italian Senate members, led by Senator Marco Scurria, at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh on Wednesday April 17, 2024. The meeting discussed efforts in combating extremist ideology.
The delegation was given a brief on Etidal’s efforts to combat extremist speech and reduce its effects, in addition to its role on spreading the principles of tolerance and promoting the culture of moderation.
At the end of the visit, souvenir photos were taken while His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Center, Dr. Mansour Al-Shammari, presented (Etidal) souvenir as a gift to Senator Marco Scurria.
