Dr. Mansour Alshammari, Secretary-General of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) held a virtual meeting with Nathalie Goulet, member of the Senate of France, on Wednesday, November 4th 2020. During the virtual meeting, the two sides discussed current events and avenues of joint cooperation, which in return serves the efforts of spreading values of moderation, tolerance and peace.
The Secretary-General of the Center affirmed Etidal’s condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist acts that recently occurred in France, stressing the rejection of extremism no matter its causes or motives were, and expressing absolute solidarity with France in confronting these atrocious and terrorist acts.
At the end of the virtual meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of sustaining joint efforts in combating extremist ideology, in addition to their keenness to continue cooperation in order to achieve intended outcomes in this area.
