The joint efforts between the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) and Telegram platform during the third quarter of the current year (July – September) 2025, have resulted in removing 28,495,947 extremist contents and deleting 1,150 channels used for extremist propaganda. This comes as part of their joint cooperation in combating digital content disseminated by various extremist and terrorist organizations and groups.
A noticeable spike in publishing extremist content was observed during this quarter, with August recording the highest activity at 42%, followed by July at 40%, and September at 18%.
It is worth noting that the results in the third quarter have raised the total number of removed extremist contents, since the beginning of the joint cooperation between Etidal and Telegram in February 2022 until the end of September 2025, to 236,100,889 removed contents and deleting 18,605 extremist channels.
