The ongoing collaboration in combating digital extremism between the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) and Telegram has yielded results during 2025, which were represented in removing 97,611,787 extremist content, in addition to closing 4,294 channels that were used to broadcast and publish extremist content.
The results of these joint efforts were distributed throughout 2025. In the first quarter (January-March), 16,062,667 extremist content were removed and 1,408 channels were closed. In the second quarter (April-June), 30,846,485 extremist content were deleted from 1,254 channels. As for the third quarter (July-September), 28,495,947 extremist content were removed and 1,150 extremist channels were closed. Finally, in the fourth quarter (October-December), 22,206,688 extremist content were removed and 482 channels were closed used by extremist organizations for their propaganda activities.
This brings the total number of removed extremist content since the start of the joint collaboration between (Etidal) and (Telegram) in February 2022 until the end of December 2025 to 258,307,577 extremist content, and closing 19,087 extremist channels.
