A delegation from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University headed by Mr. James George Stavridis, a retired US Navy admiral and current dean of The Fletcher School, visited the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal). The delegates saw first hand the Center’s tactics and use of technology to undermine online extremist discourse and recruitment, as well as identify extremist content on social networks using artificial intelligence developed inside the Center labs. Etidal also briefed the group on the center’s media strategy and other offline projects.
